What is NSNP Nominee Program Business Stream ?
The NSNP (Nova Scotia Nominee Program) Business Stream is an immigration pathway designed for individuals who wish to establish or acquire a business in Nova Scotia, Canada. Through this stream, successful applicants can obtain a nomination from the province, which expedites their application for Canadian permanent residency.
- The NSNP Business Stream consists of two categories:
1. Entrepreneur Stream
- This category is for individuals who want to start a new business or acquire an existing business in Nova Scotia.
- Eligible candidates must have a minimum personal net worth of $600,000 CAD, with at least $150,000 CAD in unencumbered funds that can be used for business investment.
- They are also required to invest a minimum of $150,000 CAD and actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.
2. International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
- This category targets recent graduates from eligible Nova Scotia post-secondary institutions who have started or acquired a business in the province.
- Applicants must have completed at least two years of full-time study in Nova Scotia and have operated a business in the province for at least one year on a valid post-graduation work permit.
- They must also own at least 33.33% of the business equity and have an ongoing active management role in the business.
- To be eligible for the NSNP Business Stream, applicants must meet certain criteria, including but not limited to:
- Demonstrating sufficient management experience and relevant skills to establish and operate a successful business.
- Submitting a viable business plan that outlines the proposed business venture, including market research, financial projections, and operational details.
- Providing proof of language proficiency in either English or French.
- Demonstrating their intention to live in Nova Scotia and actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.
- Meeting the minimum net worth and investment requirements specific to each category.
