Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program
Discover the charms of Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada’s smallest province, located on an island connected to the mainland by the impressive Confederation Bridge spanning the Northumberland Strait. Life moves at a more relaxed pace here, where people take the time to engage in conversations, and the crime rate remains low compared to other regions. With its 101 rivers and being home to the famous Canadian blue jay throughout the year, PEI is a haven for vacationers, bird-watchers, and families seeking a laid-back way of life.
The province’s capital, Charlottetown, holds significant historical importance as the birthplace of Canada’s confederation, lending PEI a wealth of heritage. While less than half of the population resides in urban areas, many individuals are drawn to the province’s picturesque rural settings. It comes as no surprise that PEI is renowned for its thriving agricultural sector. Alongside potato cultivation, the province excels in grain, oilseed, fruit, and vegetable production. Opportunities also abound in animal husbandry, dairy farming, fur industry, as well as the growing fields of organics, fisheries, and aquaculture. It’s often referred to as the “million-acre farm.” Additionally, PEI offers prospects in travel and tourism. In-demand occupations in the province include truck drivers, customer service representatives, laborers, food and beverage servers, and housekeeping attendants.
Through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), individuals with targeted skills and experience can obtain a Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Certificate, opening pathways to apply for Canadian permanent residence. The PEI PNP encompasses three major immigration categories, each catering to specific qualifications and circumstances:
- PEI PNP Express Entry is for candidates who are eligible to enter the Express Entry pool and are interested in living and working in Prince Edward Island may apply to the PEI PNP Express Entry Stream. Only those applicants with skills matching current identified labor needs for the province will be considered.

- The Skilled Worker Stream is for workers who have been identified or hired by a PEI employer. Eligible applicants will work in a skilled profession and possess relevant experience and at least a post-secondary degree or diploma.
- The Critical Worker Stream is for workers who have already been hired by a PEI employer, and whose employer would like to sponsor them for permanent residency. Eligible applicants can work in a semi-skilled or unskilled profession.
