Caregiver Visa Canada: Caregiver Pilot Programs

What is Caregiver Visa?

A caregiver visa, also known as a caregiver work permit or caregiver program, is a type of visa that allows individuals to work in Canada as caregivers for children, elderly individuals, or people with disabilities. The caregiver program is designed to address the need for qualified caregivers in Canada and provide support to Canadian families who require assistance with caregiving responsibilities.

The caregiver visa program in Canada includes two main streams:

This program is for individuals who have experience in providing childcare and are seeking employment as live-in caregivers in Canada. To be eligible, applicants must have a job offer from a Canadian employer and meet certain requirements related to education, language proficiency, and work experience.

This program is for individuals with experience in providing care for individuals with high medical needs, such as elderly individuals or people with disabilities. Similar to the Caring for Children Program, applicants must have a job offer from a Canadian employer and meet specific requirements regarding education, language skills, and work experience.
